Thanks for dropping by the home of Brookville Stud in Australia

Brookville Stud is nestled in the Gold Coast hinterland south of Beaudesert in Queensland’s  Scenic Rim Shire, the home of many world-recognised thoroughbred studs.

Our decision to enter the show world was not ours, but emerged from a wish of our daughter Kate.  Kate had experienced and thoroughly enjoyed Pony Club, but had her eyes firmly set on competition in the show ring.   We changed our focus from being a family with sole equine interests in mustering cattle for our beef producing business to include Kate’s interests in the world of showing.  We did this as a family concern.

We were fortunate to be in the right place at the right time, and purchase the beautiful English Riding Pony stallion – Pendley Gold Cup*.   Once “Cup” was ours, we decided to establish a boutique stud where we would breed riding ponies, and also cross thoroughbred mares with Pendley Gold Cup*.  It is not our intention to produce large quantities, but to breed quality.

It is not our intention to produce large quantities, but to breed quality.

Kate has now moved on.  She is a teacher, and is focusing on travel and her career.  We remain here at  Currawilla, the home of  Brookville Stud and still enjoy the excitement of breeding and producing stock of excellent conformation, beauty and temperament.
