Balledor stud raises, trains and shows quality horses especially chosen for their temperament, movement and conformation. This led the stud to breed their beautiful thoroughbred mare – Spirit of Balledor to our stallion Pendley Gold Cup* to produce this stunning mahogany bay large galloway gelding. Lyndall Ball of Balledor states; “His temperament and manners are unimpeachable but it is the engagement of his hocks that results in his spectacular movement and makes this pony truly breathtaking.”
This young gelding caught the eye of Anna Phillips who is having a dream run first season under saddle with her boy. Recently at the Northern N.S.W. Grand National qualifying Show at Lismore, Anna showed Encore for the following results - Champion First Season Large Galloway Led & Ridden, Champion Preliminary Large Galloway, Top 5 Led Open Large Galloway and Top 5 in the Amateur Large Galloway. Anna made herself known to me at the show and on first impressions I realised she is the perfect owner for Encore. Lyndall Ball also told me she is couldn’t have asked for a better home for this special boy.
Encore has an unflappable nature and is a dream to show and handle. His other interests include time out at the beach to catch a wave and have a paddle with his rider. Go Surfer Boy!
